Telegram Messenger begins testing Snapchat-like disappearing photos on Windows phone

The Telegram Messenger Preview app has updated to Version 2.4.3.0 on Windows phones and introduces a new feature called “Self Destructing Photo” which allows for users to send each other photos that automatically delete themselves after they’re viewed. If this sounds familiar, it’s because this feature was made popular by Snapchat, who did it first, and was subsequentially copied by numerous other apps like Instagram.

This version of Telegram Messenger is only available to those who have registered for the Telegram Messenger Preview app which is used to test features before they’re rolled out to the average user in the regular Telegram Messenger app. Telegram Messenger is one of many messaging apps on Windows phones and has been one of the strongest supporters of the platform.
