Sway coming to Office 365 for business and education, support for more languages too

For those of you who are unaware, Sway is an interactive presentation tool which stores everything in the cloud, making it easier for users to reach their audience or access it from any platform, including the web — it has an iOS app as well. The company even introduced plenty of new features to the tool, based on user feedback for the most part, and it seems better things are coming soon.

Microsoft announced that Sway will soon roll out to Office 365 Business and Education subscribers. This will help business professionals, educators, and students to create professionally designed content, and use it in a creative way — we’ve already seen how it’s helping the education sector and boost student’s creativity. Majority of features will be the same, but if you’re logged in with Office 365 for work or school account, you may notice a few changes such as private sways for your organization, more control is in hands of the Office 365 Admins, and more. As far as the availability is concerned, Sway will roll out for Office 365 Business and Education subscribers later this month. Initially, the update will roll out for the “First Release” subscribers followed by the eligible users in the coming months. The company further mentioned an update for the web and Sway for iPhone will roll out in the coming days to allow Office 365 work or school account users.

During the preview, Sway was available worldwide without any restrictions, but only in English. However, support for more languages for Sway and Sway for iPhone will be launched by the end of this quarter, for both consumers and Office 365 business and education users. Initially, the list of supported languages include Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish, but the software giant promised that more languages will be added in the future.
