Earlier this week, we learned that Microsoft was dropping the price on its Surface RT by $150 in the United States and Canada. This meant the Surface RT 32GB would run for $349.99 while the Surface RT 64GB would run for $449.99. It appears that other countries across the world are also receiving a price cut on the Surface RT.
Microsoft recently hinted at new Surface RT and Surface Pro tablets, which means this price drop for the current models could be an attempt to get rid of current stock in place for the new models later this year. So while the United States and Canada will see a discount of $150, countries such as the UK and Australia will also see a discount.
In the United Kingdom, the Surface RT will see a price cut of £120 price cut, bringing down the price to £279 from £399. Australia will see a price cut of AU$170, bringing down the price to AU$389 from AU$559. Various European countries including France and Germany will see a €150 price cut, bringing the price of the Surface RT to roughly €329.
Are you going to snag yourself a Surface RT now that it is a little cheaper in price?Further reading: Microsoft, Surface, Surface RT
