Microsoft has recently released new firmware updates for the Surface Pro 4 and newer, as well as the Surface Laptop 1 and 2 (via MSPoweruser). The new bits should bring battery life improvements to all of these devices, and that’s actually all that the release notes on the Surface update history page mentioned.

- Surface Embedded Controller Firmware– Firmware: 103.2851.256.0 helps improve battery life.
- Surface System Aggregator – Firmware: 239.2852.257.0 helps improve battery life.
- Surface System Aggregator – Firmware: 241.1.139.0 helps improve battery life.
In case you missed it, Microsoft also released new firmware updates for the Surface Book 2 last week that fixed the display adapter issue, but also improved battery “stability” and solved another issue involving unwanted CPU throttling.
