Last month, Microsoft introduced the latest Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book, which have already started shipping to customers who pre-ordered them in some markets. If you’re based in India, there’s some good news for you. Upon finishing up the Future Unleashed conference in India, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella dropped the news that Surface Pro 4 will launch in India sometime in January 2016.
In case you don’t know, Surface Pro 4 will be the first device from the Surface line up to make its official debut in the country. Unfortunately, the company didn’t shell out an exact date or pricing for the new tablet, but it’s not going to be too cheap if you ask me.
As for the specifications, the Surface Pro 4 offers users with a variety of configurations to choose from when it comes to processor and RAM. There’s a 12.3-inch display boasting a resolution of 2763 x 1824 with the processing handled by the latest 6th-generation Intel processors — ranging from Core M3 to Core i7 (Skylake) processors.
The tablet offers up to 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB of SSD storage, 8MP rear camera for photos and videos, a 5MP front-facing camera, and ships with Windows 10 Pro as its operating system out of the box. It measures 292.10 x 201.42 x 8.45 mm and weighs just around 1.73lbs for different configurations, so you can rest assured that it’s quite easy to carry around if you’re a frequent traveller.
We’ll update you as soon as we get any information about the pricing of the tablet, and its accessories in India. You can check out the unboxing and initial impressions of the tablet here and see if it’s really worth the money. We’ll have a detailed review of the tablet up soon so make sure to check back here again or subscribe to our RSS for futher updates.Further reading: Microsoft, Surface Pro 4, Tablet, Windows 10
