Surface Pro 3 is hard to find in some markets, selling beyond retailer’s expectations
The Surface Pro 3 has seen incredible demand in the few weeks that it has launched in the 25 markets outside of the US. However, there has led to some limitations on availability.
Some retailers in Australia have run out completely while Chinese retailers are sold out of the Intel Core i5 and i7 models. In Germany, New Zealand, and Korea it is hard to find a SP3. Even one of the largest retailers in the United Kingdom is finding it hard to keep up with the demand.
Microsoft has stated that they are trying to ship devices to replenish the supply, and the availability should be significantly improved in the “next week or two.”
Microsoft claims that the retailers in the these markets ordered – what Microsoft thought – was reasonable supply of devices, based on the results of the US launch. Obviously, the Surface Pro 3 is selling beyond retailer’s expectations. The future of Surface has never seemed so exciting!
