Starfield reached a peak concurrent Steam player count of 330,723 over the weekend. That’s an impressive number by any standard, and to put it in perspective that figure blows away that of another Bethesda behemoth: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
The epic 2011 fantasy RPG boasts a concurrent player count on Steam of 287,411. The game has been rereleased multiple times and has gone on to become the seventh bestselling video game of all time at present.
Fallout 4, by the way, has a peak concurrent player count of 472,962 on Steam.
Starfield’s launch has been declared the biggest yet in Bethesda’s history. It quickly crossed the six million player total just a few days following its release, including more than one million concurrent players across all platforms. These accomplishments make it clear that Starfield is unquestionably one of the biggest releases of the year, and one of the most important games ever for Bethesda.
Starfield’s critical reception has been mostly positive as well, as demonstrated in our Starfield review roundup.
Starfield is available on Windows and Xbox Series X|S, as well as being accessible via Xbox Game Pass.
