If you’re a Stars Wars fan, you may know that May 4th is recognized by fans a special day to celebrate the franchise’s film series, books, and culture. While we’re just a day from the officious celebration, we’re learning, via Polygon that Electronic Arts and developer Dice will celebrate “May the 4th” by giving PC players a free 4-hours trial in Star Wars Battlefront starting tomorrow at 11 a.m. PT.
To use this free trial, PC players will have to visit Origin.com to download the game. Please note that you won’t be able to access the game’s premium content such as the premium expansion “Outer Rim”, but it’s still better than nothing, right? For those of you who already own the game, a “Log-In Reward” will gift you with 4,444 in-game credits to use on gear, skins and the like. Also, a new “Hutt Contract” bounty offers players the “Bacta Bomb” which explodes healthy goo all over your teammates.
Last, Electronics Arts has also just released the game’s May client update on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC which includes no new content but several bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, please read the full details on the community forum. Are you ready to celebrate Star Wars Day? May the 4th be with you, folks!
