Star Wars Battlefront II video game’s BB-8 & Capital Supremacy update is delayed but for good reason

Posted in:

The latest free update for the popular Star Wars Battlefront II video game has been delayed until next week on all platforms including PC and Microsoft’s family of Xbox One consoles.

The official reason given for the delay was that a bug was found in this version that occasionally made it impossible to deal damage to the opposing team in the Capital Supremacy mode. A fix has already been found and the update is expected to rollout next week sometime though no specific time or date has been provided yet.

This next Battlefront II update will bring the Sequel Trilogy planets, Ajan Kloss, Jakku, and Takodana to Capital Supremacy in addition to two new maps based on Resistance and First Order Capital Ships. The most-hyped aspect of this release, however, is the addition of BB-8 and BB-9E as playable hero characters.

To compensate fans for the delay, the game’s community manager has revealed some further details on what will be added next week. Among the titbits shared are the fact that the new droid heroes will have three regular abilities and three passive abilities each, Darth Vader will be able to block while choking, and Finn and Kylo Ren will be given new emotes which players will be able to unlock by completing milestones.
