It’s been a while since the last Tomb Raider came out – and that was most certainly a game worth playing. Bringing Uncharted-esque action platforming to the Xbox, it became a favorite for a ton of Xbox users. According to a tweet from Square Enix, we now know for sure that another game will be arriving for the franchise soon. Maybe sooner than you think.

This is a big deal for fans, for several reasons. On top of the official announcement of the game’s existence, it promises us that “it won’t be very long between the official reveal and when you can play.” In a world where game reveals very often happen full years before the release of a game, this can put anybody on the edge of their seat.

Here’s the kicker, though: you should pay a little bit of attention to the message, because in true Tomb Raider fashion, they may have placed a hint in there about the game’s title. Reporters at Polygon found someone’s appraisal of the tweet, and it was pretty interesting/

This goes together with leaks that came out last year, suggesting that the new Tomb Raider game would be called “Shadow of the Tomb Raider.” Sure, this COULD be a coincidence. But we very much doubt it. Either way, keep an eye out for more news about Shadow of the Tomb Raider next year – it’s sure to be one of the biggest titles in its lineup.
