Earlier today, the Lumia Cyan started rolling out in most regions for those rocking the Lumia 1020, as well as the Lumia 520 in parts of Europe. In case you can’t recall, Microsoft India mentioned the update will roll out for the Lumia 1020 as early as today, but it seems that’s not the case — it may take a little while for the update to land in India. It’s not just the Lumia 1020, but a handful of other devices as well, including Lumia 520, 525, 620, 720, 820, 920, and 1020.
Recently, Windows Phone India released the Lumia Cyan roll out schedule for the region. It mentions that the above mentioned devices will get the Lumia Cyan update as late as September. Only the Lumia 520 and Lumia 1020 is expected to get the update by the end of August, while the remaining devices will receive it by September. It says the update has not yet arrived for these handsets.
It surely is a disappointing news for Windows Phone fans in India, but well, to be on the bright side, it’s just two months and most of the existing Windows Phone devices in the region will be update to the Cyan update. Now, we have a time frame to look out for, not just for India, but for other regions too — it could be same for other regions as well. Anyway, here’s the image shared by Windows Phone India.
