The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition on Xbox One

Starting today at 12:01 am PDT, Skyrim: Special Edition is now free to play for Xbox Live Gold subscribers through Monday at 11:59 pm PDT. This is the first-ever free play weekend for the remastered game since its release on the Xbox One last year.

“Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year awards, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition brings all the classic game’s legacy of content back to life in stunning detail on Xbox One,” reads the blog post on Xbox Wire. In addition to remastered art and effects, the Bethesda title also supports mods, just like the Xbox One version of Fallout 4.

If you like it, Skyrim: Special Edition can be yours for just $30 (50% off) through September 18, which is a really good price for a game that will definitely keep you entertained for dozens of hours. You should be able to easily find the game on the Xbox One dashboard, and it’s a pretty reasonable 16.36GB download.
