Skype for Windows Phone gets updated with new design, features improved font scaling

For all you readers who are miffed about just how frequently the Skype’s iPhone app receives updates compared to its Windows Phone counterpart, Microsoft has something good waiting for you in the Windows Phone Store. The company has just rolled out an update to Skype’s Windows Phone app which brings in a new compact design.

The “new, compact design” improves the scaling inside the app. For instance, until now you could only see 5 people in the conversation pane. After the app has been updated, you will now be able to see at least 6 people. The font has been made a little smaller as well and it’s more pleasant to look at.

How much improvement the new update brings will, of course, depend on the handset you have. The smartphones with relatively lower screen resolution might not see as many changes. Though, it may not be the case. Do let us know in the comments!

In addition to the aforementioned features, the update also offers general improvements and fixes, which may fix that one tiny glitch you usually get annoyed with. Head over to the Windows Phone Store from the via link below to snag the latest Skype app.
