Instant messaging and video conferencing service Skype is ending its support for Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system, the team announced in a blogpost.
The team says that it is chopping off the support lines because it is unable to push the best of Skype’s experience to its client on the outdated operating system version.
In the coming weeks, Skype will disallow users from logging into the account. It should be noted that the Skype users who have bought the subscription plan will also not be able to use it. Affected users should cancel the subscription to avoid re-billing.
It’s perhaps in the user’s best interest to switch to the latest operating system version. With the new version, users will be able to enjoy the services and products for years, as well as use several handy features.
