It’s been 8 months since Microsoft has ported all Windows Live Messenger users to Skype. Some users were happy and some other were not. But that’s normal, because we aren’t normally keen for change.
According to the Skype team, they have stated that they did in fact listen to the feedback users gave after they forced all users to migrate from Windows Live Messenger to Skype. That’s why the Skype blog has published a new article yesterday with the title, “Moving Forward – How the Covin family used Skype to stay together.”
If you don’t see it, the Skype team is trying to tell us that change is part of life and that we should get used to it. The article shows a mini-series done by the Skype team showing how a family has to go through change because of difficult circumstances. I have embedded the 3 episodes below in order.
“Throughout their story, you’ll see how the Covins used Skype, and you’ll also see links to how-tos. Click the links to get more info on how you can use Skype in the same ways,” Microsoft stated.
What did you think of the episodes? Is this a clever way of Skype showing users they do actually listen to feedback? What were some of the Windows Live Messenger memories you wish to have back? Comment below!Further reading: Microsoft, Skype
