Skype for Outlook.com apparently rolling out now in Germany

Microsoft recently revealed that Skype preview for Outlook.com would be rolling out in the next coming months, offering audio and video calls powered via Skype directly within your email inbox. Now, it appears that this feature may already be live in Germany, perhaps other countries.

In order to get Skype to work on your Outlook.com inbox, you will be required to download a plugin for your internet browser, which is available for the latest builds of Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox. Afterwards, simply connect Skype to Outlook.com via your Microsoft Account. If you already have a Skype account, you can easily set up Outlook.com integration.

Microsoft is looking to bring together two means of communication experiences so users can stay in touch anytime anywhere. For those that didnt know, in just six months of its launch, Outlook.com gained 60 million users making it the fastest growing email service in history.

Microsoft reportedly rolled out this feature in the United Kingdom on April 30th and now it appears that Germany has this featuring rolling out now. We’re told that receiving Skype messages within Outlook.com is similar to the way you receive Facebook messages in Outlook.com. M
