Posted in:

When you own a business, it is great to stay in touch with your clients as well as share content with them. Thankfully, though, Microsoft has the Skype for Business app on Android and iOS to help get businesses stay in contact with one another.

Today, the team over at Skype for Business has announced an update to the Skype for Business app on Android and iOS  Thanks to the update, Content viewing is now on Android, and enhanced on iOS. With content viewing on Android, you can view a presenter’s desktop and applications during a meeting. The meeting controls will also disappear so that you can focus on the content without distractions, and a light tap on the screen will then bring back the controls when you need them.

As part of the update on iOS, content viewing on the app gets faster refresh rates. The update also improves the app’s  battery consumption by 10-15%.

Overall, The update makes staying connected to Skype for Business easier on both iOS on Android. Under the update, you will now have the option to quicky switch the meeting to your cellular line in the case of weak Wi-Fi or data connection. To accomplish this, the app will let you know when your network is affecting your meeting experience. For users who have Enterprise Voice enabled, the app will even provide you the option of having the meeting call you back.

So, if you’re currently using Skype for Business, now will be a good time to press that update button! Even if not, you can still download the app by clicking the links below.
