The latest Skype for Android update added some more new features and integration with Outlook. About a week ago, the last update to Skype for Android added the ability to schedule Skype calls using Outlook. Today’s Skype for Android update allows you to view Microsoft Office documents and schedule calls in Outlook directly from within Skype.

Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Open Skype for Android
  2. Select the person you want to schedule the call with
  3. Tap the menu on the upper right
  4. Select “Schedule a Call.”

Another feature that was added to Skype for Android is the ability to view Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files on your Android smartphone directly from within Skype. Of course, if you want to edit documentsCheck out our video below for more on Microsoft Android Office apps:

Skype for Android is adding more useful features more frequently, as this is the second feature update in the 2016 already. With the ability to schedule Skype calls within Outlook, and now the ability to schedule calls in Outlook on Skype, Microsoft is steadily unifying its app experience to provide a better service to its Android users.
