Skype: 40% of adults dont always upgrade software when prompted to
Microsoft’s Skype is teaming up with Norton, Adobe, and TomTom to spread the word about the importance of keeping your software up to date, just in time for International Technology Upgrade Week. According to a survey, 40% of adults dont always upgrade software when prompted to.
The guys over at Skype put together a survey in the UK, USA, and Germany to learn more about online behavior and attitudes towards software updates. As you can see from the infographic above, the main reason users did not update their software was a concern for security: “I worry about the security of my computer.” A quarter of those surveyed required a software update prompt to hit twice before actually following through with an update. More surprisingly, a quarter of those surveyed don’t even know how to see if their software requires an update. Take a look at the infographic above and let us know if you fall in any of these categories in the comments below!Microsoft, Security, Skype
