The Windows Team and the SkyDrive team at Microsoft have been working together to heavily integrate the service into Windows 8, and it looks like the SkyDrive team didn’t want to stop there. The SkyDrive team have updated the service to include brand new features like desktop support, paid upgrades and more!
The SkyDrive team have leaped heavily into the online cloud sharing market today by releasing a brand new update that brings new features and support for some very anticipated functions. One of those features include desktop sharing, which allows you to manage your skydrive from within the Windows Explorer.
SkyDrive didn’t only develop an app for Windows though, the service works with a dedicated Mac, Windows Phone and iPhone app too, allowing you to edit your files and information on the go without ever having to hesitate.
Another new feature includes paid upgrades, which allows you to upgrade the amount of storage on your account. Unfortunately, this means that all new users will be limited to only 7GB of free storage, instead of the old 25GB. Paid storage plans range from 20GB to a whopping 100GB. Those who signed up for the service before the new free storage limit can claim their 25GB from the storage section on SkyDrive.comMicrosoft, SkyDrive
