Skeleton ships are coming to Sea of Thieves with July 31 Cursed Sails update

Back at E3 2018, Microsoft teased upcoming summer updates for Sea of Thieves. Today the company has followed up to announce that the first “Cursed Sails” update will be coming to the game for free for all players on July 31.

This major free content update includes new Skeleton Ship AI Enemies and a Brigantine Ship which is designed for three-player crews. It is being introduced in a special time-limited three-week campaign, which should offer players unique rewards. There’s also a story-driven side quest, where players are tasked with investigating the source of skeleton scourge.

Once live on July 31, all you need to do is download and install the latest Sea of Thieves Update to enjoy. You can buy Sea of Thieves by checking here, or get it for free with an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Our Laurent Giret went hands-on with the game, and you can check out his impressions here.
