Windows Phone powered Lumia devices are fantastic, primarily because of their camera and video recording quality. Let’s say you record a video or take several shots of your kid’s volleyball game and you want to share it with friends or co-workers. Having everyone huddle around your phone can be a pain in the butt. Fortunately, there is a solution.
Microsoft’s Screen Sharing for Lumia devices is a handy $79 device that plugs into your display’s HDMI screen and allows you to project anything that is on your Lumia screen. All you have to do is tap your Lumia against the NFC disc that sits atop the Microsoft Screen Sharing device.
“What’s more, the NFC disc is portable, which means you can have the Microsoft Screen Sharing system plugged to your TV, but then place the NFC disk anywhere in the room for easier sharing,” Microsoft adds.
The Microsoft Screen Sharing device is compatible with Lumia smartphones that feature screen projection, and WiFi Certified Miricast products on any operating system. In other words, it will work on the recently announced Lumia 730, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, along with the Lumia 930, Lumia Icon, and Lumia 1520. The device runs for $79 and will be available in white or black later this month.
