Microsoft are still hard at work on the upcoming update for Windows 8.1. Also known as Update 1, the team at Microsoft have compiled yet another build which marks the second RTM escrow build at 9600.17019 which was compiled on February 5th 2014.

Currently it’s unclear what’s new in the latest RTM escrow build. However we do know that it still requires a number of previous Windows 8.1 Rollup updates to be installed. The second RTM escrow build can also be installed ontop of the first RTM escrow build too, which may be convenient if you’re into installing pre-release software (something we never reccomend)

It’s highly likely that as this is an RTM escrow build, there will be no changes feature wise. The Windows Team will pretty much be all focused on ironing out bug fixes from now until launch in April.

The new build is yet to leak, but it appears it’s on WZOR’s agenda. Stay tuned to WinBeta.org for more regarding Windows 8.1 Update 1!

Thanks Alan!
