Sea of Thieves release date announced, Xbox One/Windows 10 pre-orders open

Microsoft's upcoming online multiplayer video game, Sea of Thieves, has finally been given a release date; March 20th 2018. To celebrate the announcement, a special promotional trailer was created. Check it out below.

Sea of Thieves will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title which means that buying it on an Xbox One console will automatically unlock it on a Windows 10 PC and vice versa. PC and console players will also be able to play against (or with) each other and progress will carry over between versions.

All pre-orders placed before the release date will receive the exclusive Black Dog Pack which won't be made available to regular buyers of the game. This DLC pack contains specially designs items and clothes and a chance to gain early access to the game via a closed beta.
