Samsung has just announced a new Galaxy Book S Always Connected PC at its Unpacked event in New York City. This new laptop will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx SoC designed for the ground up for laptops, offering Gigabit LTE connectivity and up to 23 hours of battery life.
Samsung didn’t share many hardware details about the Galaxy Book S today, but it will feature an ultra-slim and light-weigh design and use and USB-C for charging. Samsung also mentioned today that it the Galaxy Book S will use the same charger as the just-announced Galaxy Note 10
The Galaxy Book S will be priced at $999 and start shipping in select markets in September, and we hope to see other PC manufacturers launch new Always Connected PCs using the Snapdragon 8cx during the holiday season.
