Samsung brings back the Start Menu in Windows 8 with S-Launcher

Ron

Sick and tired of not having the Start Menu in Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8 operating system? Well now you can relax (somewhat) because Samsung is creating a desktop widget that acts like the old start button and its called “S-Launcher.”

Samsung revealed some new All-in-One PCs today and also the new S-Launcher desktop widget that acts just like the old start button. Using the widget, you can start typing a word, such as “keyboard” and you will see settings and apps that are related to the term “keyboard.” There is also a separate setting icon for quick access to commonly used setting controls. No word yet on if this S-Launcher widget will be available as a standalone download or if Microsoft will have a problem with this. More on this as it develops.
