The long rumored Samsung Ativ SE, the latest Windows Phone from the South Korean manufacturer, is arriving next month. However, the phone will be shipping with Windows Phone 8 rather than the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1. It will definitely welcome the new update, but will take some time before adopting it, a report from The Verge claims.
The phone closely resembles the company’s Android flagship from last year – the Samsung Galaxy S4. The technical specifications of Samsung Ativ SE aren’t very different from it’s predecessor either. It sports a 5-inch 1080P full HD display, powered by a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, and coupled with 2 gigs of RAM. The handset beats many Lumia devices on paper. Although, the 16GB of internal memory is a bit of a downer. However, you can expand the memory via microSD slot. Also, the 13 megapixel camera may please the shutterbugs.
It should be noted that several previous reports have suggested that the phone will come with Windows Phone 8.1. This is the first time any source has hinted otherwise. We’ll keep you updated as we get more information.Further reading: Samsung, Windows Phone, Windows Phone 8.1
