Rory McIlroy PGA Tour Golf from EA now available for Xbox One pre-order

Xbox announced today that EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is now available for digital pre-order for the Xbox One from the Xbox Store.

Today’s announcement on Major Nelson’s page details that the game will officially be released on July 15th, but can be pre-ordered now digitally. This allows user to download the game before the official release. However, the game won’t be playable until 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time, July 15.

This latest game in the popular EA Sports PGA Tour franchise uses EA’s Frostbite 3 engine, which was first unveiled with Battlefield 4 and is continuing to be used in upcoming titles like Star Wars: Battlefront. The PGA Tour series is set to see great graphics and game environments with the use of Frostbite 3, and the game description in today’s announcement claims this engine will allow users to,

“play the most beautiful sports game to date with no load times, enabling you to explore authentic tournament courses or unique fantasy environments, opening up your golf experience like never before. Don’t just play the course, explore it!”

If you are interested in picking up a copy, EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is available now for pre-order for $59.99 on the Xbox Store. If you’re an EA Access member, you can get the pre-order, bundled with the TPC Scottsdale course, for a bit of a savings at $53.99.
