Rock Band

Rock Band 4 is being remade from the ground up for Xbox One. There are reports that the latest game in the franchise will leave the cartoon look of the older games behind. The improved graphics performance of Xbox One is certainly capable of a more realistic style of game. Also in the latest game, the developers are aiming to enhance the gaming experience. The experience of playing previous games in the series typically centered around four band members playing isolated single-player games as there was very little connection between band members. In Rock Band 4, Harmonix believes the new dynamic between band members will become an integral part of the game.

For those unfamiliar with the simulated rock band experience, the objective of the Rock Band series of games is to play a replica musical instrument controller in rhythm to music and colors that is playing on the screen. The better a player matches the better they progress through the game. When game developers, Harmonix, were working on a new game for the series, they were inspired to make a game that you could play ‘socially’ with friends. The result was Rock Band 4.

Fans that are looking forward to “rocking out” to Rock Band 4 on the Xbox One later this year will be happy to hear that Harmonix is adding additional content to go along with gameplay. In a new YouTube video discovered on the Xbox channel, the one-minute clip reveals that players who pre-order Rock Band 4 will receive 30 bonus songs. Of the 30 additional songs included with the pre-order, players will be able to now rock and roll alongside songs from the Foo Fighter, Judas Priest, and The Cure.
