Roboquest comes to PC Game Pass, may be headed for Xbox Game Pass soon – onmsft.com

Roboquest is described as a “crazy intense fast FPS Roguelite co-op cross-platform game.” Initially releasing in early access form in June of 2020, the game is now available on PC Game Pass as of Tuesday, February 22.

At first glance it may seem like a Borderlands clone, and there is no denying Gearbox Softwares’ hit action-roleplaying-shooter franchise’s inspiration on Roboquest, with its eye-popping cel shaded visuals, raucous tone, loot and shoot mechanics and over the top fast-paced action. The game also seems to be oriented toward the multiplayer experience, something else it shares in common with the Borderlands franchise. It’s cross-platform play between Xbox consoles and PC has been a major focal point for developer RiseUp Studios, makers of VR games Winter Break and The Burning Descent.

At the time of this writing (in late February) the game has not yet come to the Xbox version of Game Pass, though the studio promises it will come sometime later this year following a run in the Xbox Game Preview program. As of this time the game is still considered a work in progress.
