The latest entry in the popular Resident Evil video game franchise, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, is now available to pre-order on the Xbox One console in both a Standard and Deluxe digital version. The pre-order of the Standard Edition comes with the Survival Pack: Recovery Set add-on which is essentially a collection of in-game items such as a Supply Box containing Herbs, a First Aid Med, and a Strong First Aid Med, as well as a Defense Coin. This add-on also unlocks a new difficulty mode called, Madhouse, which is usually only unlocked when the main game is completed. It is the game’s highest difficulty.
The Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Deluxe Edition also comes with the Survival Pack: Recovery Set (when pre-ordered) as well as the first three downloadable content packages; Add-On Content 1: Four Short Side Stories, Add-On Content 2: One Additional Story Episode, and Add-On Content 3: One Additional Story Episode.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a sort of reinvention for the series and sees a return to the more horror-based elements of the earlier games. The game will also introduce a first-person camera angle and is promised to feature a significant graphical boost over Resident Evil 6’s visuals. Interestingly, the subtitle, Biohazard, is the original Japanese name for the Resident Evil franchise. The game will be called Biohazard 7: Resident Evil in Japan. Here’s the official game description:
Fear and isolation seep through the walls of an abandoned southern farmhouse. “7” marks a new beginning for survival horror with the “Isolated View” of the visceral new first-person perspective. Powered by the RE Engine, horror reaches incredible heights of immersion as players enter a terrifyingly new world of fear as they fight to survive.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will launch on Xbox One on January 24th 2017. Are you a fan of the Resident Evil series? Let us know your favorite game in the franchise in the comments below.Further reading: Microsoft, Video Games, Xbox, Xbox One
