Redfall to require a persistent online connection even in single-player

With a (May 2nd) release date now on the horizon, the anticipation for Bethesda’s Redfall is getting palpable. You can expect more information to come out about the game as its launch draws ever nearer, but one thing we’ve already discovered is that the game will require players to be online even when playing solo.

This tidbit was discovered on the Redfall FAQ page over on bethesda.net. The FAQ section also confirmed that a Bethesda.net account will be required to play Redfall.

Redfall was featured during last week’s Xbox & Bethesda Developer_Direct event with an all-new deep dive video, which you can see below. The highly anticipated open-world, co-op-oriented shooter promises to be one of the biggest games coming to Xbox in 2023.
