Redesigned search experience now rolling out in Outlook for iOS

A couple of months ago, Microsoft started testing a new search experience in Outlook for iOS, with a new search icon in the bottom navigation bar that replaces the “Files” and People” icons. This new design is now rolling to all iPhone and iPad users with the version 2.63 of Outlook for iOS.

It probably takes some time to get used to this new search button, which gives you quick access to top contacts, recent attachments as well as upcoming travel itineraries or package deliveries. From this new search tab, you can also create new contacts, access all your files stored on OneDrive and other cloud storage services. When searching for emails, you can use filters to only search specific accounts or only show emails with attachments.

This new search experience isn't available in Outlook for Android yet, but it should appear pretty soon. Do you like having a supercharged search tab, or did you prefer having dedicated shortcuts for your contacts and files? Let us know below.
