Rare announces Rare Replay: 30 games, $30 and shows off the word premiere of Sea of Thieves

The British video game developer Rare, which is now a subsidiary of Microsoft, made two big announcements during today’s Xbox E3 Briefing.

First, Rare announced “Rare Replay,” which will bring 30 classic Rare titles to the Xbox One. The collection will include titles such as “RC Pro-Am,” “Battletoads,” “Perfect Dark,” “Banjo-Kazooie,” and more.  The collection of games, which spans developer Rare’s 30 year history, will be priced at $30, giving a great value of $1 per classic game.

Rare also announced “Sea of Thieves” for Xbox One. The first person pirate adventure game showed opportunities for exploring jungles, roaming the high seas, and multiplayer naval combat. The game was announced as an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive but no release date was announced at this time.

Xbox’s E3 briefing was full of announcements for Xbox Exclusives and new features for the console like backwards compatibility, but stay tuned to WinBeta as E3 continues as more news is sure to follow Microsoft and it’s partners’ further announcements over the next few days.
