Qualcomm introduces Always Connected PC

As we long suspected, Qualcomm today introduced the Always Connected PC. It was revealed on stage by Cristiano Amon, Executive Vice President, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc during Qualcomm’s Tech Summit keynote.

Features of the Always-Connected PC include connecting, creating, and collaborating anytime, and anywhere. With the Always Connected PC, Qualcomm and its partners are rethinking what’s inside the PC, now using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processors instead of Intel’s. There’s also promises of connectivity that untethers, 20-hour battery life, and 1-month of standby time on these devices.

Qualcomm has also partnered with Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile to offer eSIM for connectivity on these devices. Terry Myerson appeared on stage and is calling this a corporate shift, freeing constraints on employees, and adding security and helping protect information. He also mentioned an optimized version of Office 365 for these types of Always Connected PCs.

Developing Story…. more to come…
