Richard Boscovich — better known “Bosco” to his friends and colleagues — is a senior attorney in Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit, a group inside the company that investigates a wide range of questionable online activities and tech-related crimes.

A former federal prosecutor who was hired by Microsoft in May 2008, Boscovich has been in the news most recently for orchestrating a novel legal approach to take down a large botnet, a complex system of compromised computers used for illegal or nefarious purposes.
