For those of you who love to “save money and live better,” Wal-Mart is now offering Microsoft’s Surface RT and Surface Pro devices. On top of the tablets, Wal-Mart is also offering the touch and type covers as well as other important accessories.
If you head over to Wal-Mart’s website, you will notice that the 32GB Surface RT is running for $349. If you add the touch keyboard, the price is bumped to $449. The 64GB Surface Pro runs for $899 while the 128GB Surface Pro runs for $999. The Type cover runs for $129 and the Touch cover runs for $120. These prices seem to be consistent with those at BestBuy and Staples. Of course, supplies are limited, so if you are planning on purchasing one of these devices at Wal-Mart, you may want to hurry.
Microsoft recently dropped the price of the Surface RT by $150, offering a better incentive for those who have been itching to get ahold of the Windows RT platform and a Surface device. Unfortunately, Microsoft recently revealed in its quarterly earnings that the Surface RT is costing the company money. Microsoft ended up $900 million charge related to Surface RT inventory adjustments.
Nonetheless, it is great to see yet another outlet offering the Surface RT and Surface Pro devices. As of right now, the Surface device is available in 29 different markets and in over 10,000 stores across the globe.
