It’s been three years and most people have probably already forgotten Rime. The game was revealed at Gamescom 2013 as a PlayStation 4 title but it was a few years later that Sony got impatient waiting for the game to come to fruition, according to Polygon. Now Rime is back and it is better than ever with expected availability for Xbox One and PC as well.

Rim is a third-person adventure/puzzle video game being made by Tequila Works. The story is about a boy that is stranded on a mysterious island with a curse, and it’s up to him and only him to survive and escape.

For a long time, the only information that was known about Rime was through the reveal. Tequila Works made promises of open world gameplay and a “unique control system” that will include sounds, light, and touch. With a unique art style and captivating score, the game has already mustered a fanbase.

Today, IGN got a first look at what they describe as ” the promising part-Zelda, part-Last Guardian action-adventure game”. The new trailer was titled as the Rime Re-Reveal.

Towards the end of the video, it’s revealed that Rime will not only be on PlayStation 4 as originally believed. Instead, it’s coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

The studio was quiet about the game’s development until recently. Now that the release is etched in stone, perhaps we’ll learn more about the game in the next couple of months. Oh, and Sony might be interested in changing Rime’s game page in the near future considering it still says that the game is “Only on PlayStation”.
