Windows Phone 8.1-powered Prestigio MultiPhone 8500 DUO now selling in Europe

Prestigio was one of the two new hardware partners that Microsoft announced at the developer conference BUILD in April. At the Computex event last month, the Limassol, Cyprus headquartered OEM showcased MultiPhone 8500 DUO, its first Windows Phone 8.1-powered handset. Now the smartphone is available for sale Europe.

Prestigio MultiPhone 8500 DUO is now available for purchase through Harvey Norman in Slovenia, and Mobilni-telphony in the Czech republic. It is priced at €159.98 EUR ($210). The company is taking care of the shipment by offering free express delivery to 53 countries.

For a refresh, Prestigio MultiPhone 8500 DUO sports a 5-inch display with 720P screen resolution. Powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, coupled with a gig of RAM, the handset runs Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box.

At the given pricepoint the hardware specifications look neat. The cell shutterbugs will appreciate the 8MP shooter at the back, and 2MP camera upfront. It’s worth noting that the phone comes with 24-month warranty.
