Halo 5: Guardians is set to release on October 27, and as the date draws near, among the preparations you need to make (which may include temporarily cutting communications with friends and family), hard disk storage should be high on the list, reported Polygon.
According to the gaming news site, the installation size of Halo 5: Guardians will require “up to 60 GB” according to images of the packaged version. This makes Halo 5 one of the heftier games on the market, and will certainly necessitate some drive-cleaning for more active owners of the 500 GB Xbox One. It is unclear whether the reported storage requirement has accounted for the multiplayer patch, supposedly coming prior to the launch date.
The game will reportedly come in the form of a code for the downloadable version both for the $249.99 Limited Collector’s Edition and in the 1 TB Special Edition Xbox One bundle; the former, however, can be exchanged for a disc version from October 20 to November 1.
