Starting from September 8th through September 13th, customers will be able to pick up a game of their choice along with the console at all participating retailers in the US — yes, this offer is only valid for those residing in the US. It seems the company is trying to give Xbox One sales a boost, which is still lagging behind its rival Playstation 4.
Interestingly, there’s no restriction, meaning you can simply pick up any game of your choice, whether its Destiny, Titanfall, or any game for that matter. To provide more options, Microsoft is extending the offer to the Xbox One bundles as well, so if you choose Xbox One Madden NFL 15 or Forza Motorsport 5 bundle, you could get two games free of cost. The offer is only valid for games that are priced up to $59.99.
“For one week only – from September 7 through September 13 – when you buy an Xbox One at participating retailers in the U.S., you’ll get a free Xbox One game of your choice,” said Microsoft’s Larry Hryb.
Unfortunately, the offer doesn’t extend to games which will be released after September 13th, or the used/refurbished consoles. Nonetheless, it’s a very attractive offer for potential Xbox One owners, specially those who are thinking about buying it as a bundle.Further reading: Gaming, Microsoft, Xbox One
