PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (also called PUBG) was the number one selling video game on the Xbox One family of consoles last week according to GfK Chart – Track. This ranking is limited to physical sales so it’s unclear exactly how well the game sold digitally though we do know it’s been doing pretty damn well overall.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was one of the biggest video games of 2017 on PC and came to Xbox One in a Game Preview (aka open beta) version in December that same year. PUBG is still in Game Preview but that hasn’t stopped millions of players (literally) buying the game and diving in.

In addition to having a huge following who had been wanting to play it on a home console like the Xbox One, PUBG is also relatively cheap compared to most other major releases. It’s currently almost one third the price of Call of Duty: WWII for example.
