PicsArt responds to Nikon scandal with their own photo challenge

The world of photography was recently buzzing when Nikon Singapore selected a image that was altered using the PicsArt app as the winner of a photo contest. Since then, both Nikon and the winning photographer have since apologized for the "photogate" scandal, while the scandal inspired PicsArt to create their own photo challenge.

PicsArt is inviting the world to be creative and to submit beautiful images featuring airplanes. In order to participate, you need to submit your original and edited images between February 3 and February 14 to PicsArt with the hashtag #MadeWithPicsArt. When submissions close, a jury of PicsArt editors will then select the winner that uses PicArt's creative tools best. There are no limits to submissions, and the top winners will be featured in PicsArt.

The ultimate prize for the winner of the contest is a brand new Nikon 1 J5 mirrorless camera. The camera features a 20.8 megapixel sensor, a fast processor, and great low light performance.

Winners will be notified via a comment from a PicsArt community manager within 48 hours of the voting period, and will also be given an email address to send their email and mailing address to. The winner will have one week to claim their prizes.

PicsArt is a free app that has everything you need to make amazing photos, collages, digital drawings and more. It is available across all platforms in the iOS, Google Play, and Microsoft app stores.
