PDF Compressor Pro is a neat Windows utility; available for free for a limited time

PDF Compressor is a Windows utility that compresses scanned PDF files for easy transmission across the Web or over emails. Scanned PDF documents are made from images, and they tend to have large file sizes usually.

PDF Compressor claims to reduce the file size of a PDF from about 30 MB to only 8 MB – a compression ratio of 23% – quite fast. You can change the compress quality or the DPI setting to get better compressed result and content quality.

Mind you, if the PDF files are not scanned PDF, the app doesn’t work well and the output files will be bigger than the original files.

Available for all Windows editions above Windows XP, the app supports batch mode and allows you to compress hundreds of PDF documents at one time. It can also automatically remove the restriction from protected PDF files.

The company is running a promotional giveaway allowing you to score a free license of PDF Compressor Pro, with a regular value of $29.95. The pro version unlocks full functionality of the PDF Compressor and doesn’t add watermark on output PDF files. Check out the details here, and do it soon, because the promotion ends on February 1, 2017.
