Outlook Spaces, Microsoft’s New Project Management Tool Goes Live On The Web As “Project Moca” – onmsft.com

Earlier this year, we learned that Microsoft was working on Outlook spaces, a new project management tool also known as Project Moca. With Outlook Spaces, Microsoft wants to allow users to organize content such as emails, documents, events, and search terms into workspaces.

Although Microsoft has yet to announce that Outlook Spaces is generally available, Twitter user Neil Kennedy first spotted that the new collaboration tool was live earlier today (via Windows Central). You can head over to this link to access Outlook Spaces, and the web app works with personal Microsoft accounts. You may need a Microsoft 365 subscription to access the service, as we got an “Under Construction” message with a Microsoft account without an active subscription.

Outlook Spaces allows you to create a customized plan from scratch, or you can use the built-in templates to create one. In addition, the web app lets you name your plans, add project-related keywords, drag your content into buckets, and add up to three people collaborating on that project.

Even though Microsoft’s Outlook Spaces/Project Moca is still a work in progress, it already looks quite similar to Microsoft Planner and Trello, two popular task management apps. However, it seems that Outlook Spaces will benefit from a direct integration in Outlook.com. If you’re able to access Outlook Spaces today, let us know what you think of it in the comments below.
