Outlook on iOS gets new Cortana-powered Arrive on Time feature

Microsoft recently released a version 2.8.3 update for Outlook on iOS, and it introduces a new Arrive on Time feature powered by Cortana. We were not able to try out this feature on our end, but Microsoft promises that Arrive on Time will help you get notified when to leave for events based on traffic and transit reports.

Once updated to this latest version, you can find the option for Arrive on Time under the "Calendar" section of the in-app settings. It's oddly named "Time to Leave" in this section, but clicking it will bring up a prompt asking you to grant access to location services. You can then further tweak the settings for individual accounts, or choose the Driving or Transit transportation.

This entire experience is powered by Cortana, and you can visit the Advanced Settings portion of the app to clear your Cortana information. You also can completely turn off Cortana in Outlook, though this will remove Cortana connected services within Outlook and impact your personalized experiences.

Feel free to head to the App Store now to update, let us know if you've managed to get Arrive on Time working by dropping us a comment in the section below.
