Outlook for Mobile is the easiest way to keep up to date on everything you need. Today, Microsoft’s favorite mobile inbox has turned two years old, meaning they wanted to release something special for the occassion. In the Office blog post, the team announced that Outlook on iOS now has add-ins similar to the Windows, Mac Preview, and web versions.
These add-ins are essentially mini apps that can be installed into your Outlook. From there, they can help you with tasks such as translating on command, accessing extra contact information, add a card to Trello, find quick media, and more. Microsoft even added some of their own add-ins to the mix.
Here’s what you can use today in Outlook for iOS:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Nimble
- Trello
- Evernote
- Microsoft Translator
- Smartsheet

Of course, there will be more to come as Outlook progresses. Add-ins only currently work while reading an email but the team promises that more actions will be available in the future as well.
If you’d like to install an add-in to your Outlook on iOS today, simply open your application. Navigate to Settings > Add-ins and tap the + sign for the ones you’d like to use. Don’t like one? They can be uninstalled just as easily.
