Microsoft is adding a new AI-based feature to Outlook for Windows that should help users save some time while responding to emails. Outlook on the web, iOS, Android already supports suggested replies, but the feature is coming to the Windows client later this month (via Neowin).
When this feature rolls out, Outlook for Windows will be able to provide users three related responses based on the message received in the email. The feature uses machine learning and AI to suggest the best possible reply, and users will simply need to click one to send it. However, users will be able to turn off suggested replies in the Settings menu.
The capability is already available for Office Insiders in the beta channel, and it has been designed to save users from the hassle of typing out simpler responses for their emails.
While Suggested replies launched first in the US for English-speaking users, but Outlook on the web is currently rolling out this functionality to customers worldwide in additional languages.
