The Office team is now on a weekly release cycle for its Outlook app for iPhone and iPad, if you don’t pay attention to the changelogs it’s quite easy to miss when new features are being introduced. As a matter of fact, the latest update released two days ago brought two useful changes including one iPad users should really like.
First of all, the calendar icon now moves with you when you’re scrolling through your days, and you can tap it to go back to today. Additionally, iPad users can now read emails in full screen by tapping the dedicated button, which is especially useful in portrait mode.

Two months ago, the Outlook iOS app was redesigned with a better conversation view and the ability to quickly switch between accounts, and the Office team is currently testing a new search experience with Office Insiders. If you’re looking for an alternative to Apple’s native Mail app on iOS (which only gets new features once a year with new iOS major updates), Outlook is definitely one of the most solid email and calendar apps you can choose as of today.iPad, Microsoft, Outlook, Outlook for iOS
