OneNote beta for Android gains handwriting support, swipe navigation, and more

It’s something that users have been requesting for some time now — the ability to take handwritten notes in the Android version of OneNote. Now that day is here… in the beta version of the app, at least. The beta version now includes the ability to use a stylus (or finger, if you prefer) and also adds support for the LG G3.

As well as the expected performance enhancements and bug fixes, improvements have also be made to the app’s navigation system. Announced by Ayush Rastogi on the OneNote for Android Beta Program Google+ page the new features of the latest beta are:

  • Take handwritten notes or draw with a stylus or with your finger.
  • Use a variety of formatting options like font types, font sizes, alignments, and tags on your tablet.
  • Move between your notebooks, sections, and pages with a swipe.
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.
  • Support for LG G3

If you fancy the idea of getting involved in the beta program, head over to the Google+ page where you can sign up. In the meantime, you can download the non-beta version of the app from Google Play.
